That thing is huge, bigger then my two hands together, it was the first time I saw a fossil that big.

its a Trilobite you can check it out here [link] It is releated to the Horse Shoe Crab that is "a 'living fossil': forms almost identical to this species were present during the Triassic period 230 million years ago, and similar species were present in the Devonian, a staggering 400 million years ago. Despite their common name, they are not crabs but are related to arachnids (spiders, scorpions, ticks and mites), and are presumably the closest living relatives of the now extinct trilobites." Between Rocky Harbour and MillBrooks in Gros-Morne park, it's a bit hard to give the exact location... :)

Wow, this is so awesome!! What a magnificant treat to come across one of these, I'd aboslutely love it if I found a fossil like this! Oh Lucie, Canada seems to be the most beautiful country around, so much stunning nature and now incredible fossils as well!!! :love:
