I am no expert so I hope that what I'm giving you here makes sense... I have a black velvet background that I used for those pictures, the speed was 3/100 seconds, the aperture was at 5,6. I have two flash, the one on the camera and I had placed one on the side, but I'm not sure if they fired, I had the flash on automatic and didn't notice if it did flash or not. Finally I cheated a little bit on the background, it turned out black on the photo but I still had some folds that were slightly showing especially at the bottom and I removed those in photoshop with a soft brush.

Hope this helps a little bit...
